Yellow Dumet Wire

Lead-in wires and dumet wire are used in lead-in assemblies for various types of lamps and electronic components. Dumet wire is the core metal of lead-in wires and provides a vacuum-tight glass-to-metal seal by combining a Fe-Ni alloy core with a copper sheath in precisely controlled proportions. It is manufactured by wrapping or electroplating copper onto the alloy wire, followed by redrawing, annealing, and borating treatment. Dumet wire is widely used for match-sealing electron tubes, bulbs, diodes, and semiconductors to soft glass, with different types suitable for decorative lighting, CFL lamps, automotive bulbs, flickering bulbs, and waterproof LED and lamp applications.

Yellow dumet wire is a type of lead-in wire designed for stable glass-to-metal sealing in soft glass applications. It consists of a Fe–Ni alloy core with a copper sheath, processed through redrawing, annealing, and surface treatment to ensure reliable vacuum tightness and electrical conductivity. Yellow dumet wire is mainly used in compact fluorescent lamps (CFL lamps), where consistent sealing performance and long-term reliability are required.
